Ten Tors 2022
With interest in Ten Tors remaining high, last weekend we conducted training in the College on Saturday followed a walk on Dartmoor on Sunday.
Saturday’s training was focused on navigation and the use of a map and compass. Students were then given the opportunity to practice their skills during their walk on Dartmoor on Sunday which comprised a circular walk from Two Bridges. The weather conditions were certainly not in the students’ or volunteers’ favour! With heavy, driving rain the rivers quickly became swollen and impassable, so our four teams followed their alternative routes and ended their walks back at Two Bridges.
Well done to all the students who took part and we look forward to seeing what weather welcomes us on the moor next time!
